In December 2025, Anushkaa Arora authored the book chapter “Digitization of Education and the Legal Profession: Reimagining Access and Equity for Advocates in a Virtual Age,” published in the eBook Digitalization of Education: Evaluating Impact, Innovation, and Implementation (ISBN: 978-81-953607-9-6). As courts, legal education, and professional practice increasingly transition to digital platforms, the chapter moves beyond celebrating technology for its convenience. It critically examines whether digitization has genuinely democratized the legal profession or whether it has inadvertently deepened structural inequalities—particularly for young advocates, first-generation lawyers, and those practicing outside metropolitan centers. Grounded in lived professional experience and systemic analysis, the chapter calls for a more inclusive, equitable, and policy-driven approach to digital reform within the legal ecosystem. It emphasizes that technology must function as an enabler of access and justice, rather than as a substitute for institutional responsibility. The research for this chapter was supported by Ms. Sharmishtha Sharma, Advocate and Research Associate at ABA Law Office.
